The Lucera court is not part of the "justice plan." De Sabato: "Reckless decisions, Capitanata has always been ignored."

" A predatory act , which condemns the Capitanata area to abandonment and marginalization." This is how city councilor Antonio De Sabato , vice president of the Culture and Social Services Commission of the Municipality of Foggia, commented on the exclusion of the Lucera court from the new draft law on the reorganization of the judicial geography approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers .
A decision that left out the historic Lucera justice system, while the Abruzzo courts of Avezzano, Lanciano, Sulmona and Vasto were confirmed and strengthened, as well as the island sections of Ischia, Lipari and Portoferraio , and the creation of a new court is even planned in Bassano del Grappa , in the Vicenza area.
“Lucera ignored, despite the promises”" There is so much bitterness over what happened," De Sabato explains. "Lucera remains excluded from any possibility of reopening . A deafening silence, which weighs like a millstone on years of institutional battles and civic mobilizations." The Foggia councilor recalls that the mandate envisaged for the comprehensive reform of the judicial system contains no specific reference to Lucera , despite promises and reassurances even from members of the parliamentary majority.
" This is a serious matter , which risks marking the definitive end of any prospect of reopening. As lawyer Vincenzo Agnusdei also observed, this is a very severe blow to our province."
“A political choice against the territory”For De Sabato, this is a deliberate exclusion , not an oversight: "In an area like Capitanata, marked by the presence of the fourth mafia , the dismantling of state institutions is a grave political error . Fundamental tools for legality and social cohesion are being taken away."
The councilor paints a bleak picture: " Law enforcement at the end of its tether , justice far away, insufficient staff and resources, isolated communities. All this is not the result of chance: it is the result of specific, short-sighted, and irresponsible choices."
“Redemption comes from civil rebellion”According to De Sabato, it's time for a collective reaction: " Only an informed community can decide to change its destiny . The lack of competitiveness in our region isn't a natural occurrence: it's the direct consequence of harmful political decisions , such as the failure to reopen the Lucera courthouse. And it concerns all of us, not just the city of Fredericia."
Finally, the appeal: " We can no longer remain silent . We need unity, determination, and a new civic awareness to defend what remains of our institutional identity."
